Seeker Sarah Day by mangaka101 Seeker Sarah Day by mangaka101
So, this is my character for when I play Shadowrun. EDIT: Its not actually a branch, I just called it that for sake of simplicity for those who don't play. Most are probably more familiar with the concept of D&D than Shadowrun. So I just used D&D as a general idea as both are a similar concept. Dice, Roleplay etc. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Technomancer-21-elf-Sarah "Seeker" Day.
(Technomancers manipulate internet or in SR the Matrix with their minds to put it simply.)
The grey and red crosshair in the corner is her symbol. She leaves that symbol when ever she completes a shadowrunning mission. The Green stuff surrounding her is the Matrix in AR. (Augmented Reality) The gun is a AK-97 Carbine from the top. And Sarah is awesome.

A bit on the name "Seeker". She is a notorious hacker and gave herself the name SEEKER when she began to come into the public eye. She still remains in the shadows but SEEKER is fairly well known among the hacker/hackie community.

Personality wise; she is a two-faced character--verging on bipolar but not quite. She puts on a facade for almost everyone except for a select few. When the facade is up she is very happy, giggly, fun, and a little bit absent minded. She's slightly sadistic and a little but 'off her rocker'.

On the flip side, she is a very broken person. Her parents think she's dead. Her best friend, Tsumugi, is dead (she watched her die). Her boyfriend, Baade, is dead [she felt him die through empathetic link (also known as a resonance link)]. She hates to talk about either of them or think about their deaths because the died at the same time and the trauma is a bit much for her to handle. She is for the most part alone except for her friend Sarkhan (played by my friend :iconastharian:). She's attached to him because she's afraid to lose him. Despite her cute and 'airy' facade she realistic. She is afraid of death and being truly alone in the world. The former is a common occurrence in SR so she tries not to think about it.

To sum up; shes happy on the outside. On the verge of a psychological breakdown on the inside.

Its fun to roleplay. My SR group has a lot of 'psycho-killer-emotionless' types and some with no personality at all so its a lot of fun to play the opposite of the 'emotionless' character.

Questions? Comments? Concerns? Comment!

If you'd like to know more about Shadowrun; comment or note :)

EDIT 2: I read over what I wrote when I posted this and realized I must've been writing/posting at four in the morning because it sounded really bad. I went back and fixed it a little bit.

This is super weird 'cause I was just playing the "your name"-the-killer game and I came across this. I know Sarah isn't a creepypasta OC at all, but the ironic thing is that my actual name is Sarah Day. XD (I didn't even have "Day" in the search.)

2 Fails:
1. SR is not Wizard of the Coasts (Which produces D&D), it is Topps
2. normal people have all attributes 3 if human.

logic 1 is an 60, 3 a 100 and 5 a 140, absolute possible record (using a merit, a genetic optimisation, a surge-merit, some bioware and an adept-force) is 13 - a 300, which is Goete niveau.

1. I only called it a branch for sake of simplicity for those who don't play. They're probably more familiar and both are dice based games. I am aware its not from Wizards of the Coast.

2. I will inform our all knowing stat/rules guru since I believe he was the one who told me that.

for two: just take a little look on the core rules, page 63 in the Catalyst print of the aniversery edition:

"The standard range of natural human attributes is rated on a scale
of 1 to 6, with 3 being average"

and the Logic-perk-combo I mentiond is:
exceptional attribute (Quality from the Core Rules), genetic optimisation (geneware from Augmentation), Metagenetic Improvement (Surge Quality from RunnersCompannion); this three bring the natural maximum from 6 to 9 - and the augmented maximum to 13
the 4 points can be filled with attribute boost (temporaly with drain) and iirc an Encephalon. or by moving the physical attributes to mental ones with an adept power.

Mkay, its probably something I skimmed over. I didn't read the entire book in super detail. My attention span is too small for that haha.

Yea, our hacker decided to try and min-max-- though, he only brought his logic to 9. I know he took exceptional attribute and used cerebral boosters rating 2. Though at that point I don't think he knew I had all the supplement books. I'll let him know so he can boost his logic up need round of character creation we go through.

You really know your stuff, thanks for the info. I hadn't finished reading Augmentation yet so thats useful to know. If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been playing for?

I began in the FanPro-Era, when 4th edition was new... around 2005 - but I play the german editions published by Pegasus

Checked it up: has to be the cerebral Booster, not the encephalon - that gives only a bonus to tests (but is likly to be combined with cerebral boosters)

Well, I wouldn't call Shadowrun a branch of DnD, but hey, never mind. I'm playing SR myself, just have a character-illustration :thumb191835070: done by Gosp

I just called it that for sake of simplicity, for those who don't play. Since it is a dice based game.
